Status report: after just over a week, Volume 7 is nearly 75% funded. Go us!

I added a "More Book" achievement to the campaign, so even after we hit the main goal, you can see a progress bar for the first stretch goal.

And with that, it's poll time.

For new backers: Every year, if you preorder the newest Leif & Thorn paperback, it comes with a backer-exclusive mini-print. Instead of just picking out the art myself, I grab a few different pieces and let you folks vote.

Now that I've tried the built-in BackerKit polls...you can attach images to the options, but they come out pretty small and cramped. Not ideal when what you're voting on is "art."

Welcome [back] to BackerKit, readers! Here's your Day One report of the Leif & Thorn Volume 7 campaign:

1) We got 45% funded in the first 24 hours! Including, if I'm reading these charts right, over $1,000 in pledges in the first 6 hours alone.

(And Leif & Thorn is the #1 trending project in the Comics category! Nice.)

I set the goal higher than Volume 6, so the percentage is smaller than it did with the last campaign...but the actual dollar amounts are roughly the same. Which means we're well on track to nailing our traditional "beat the record of the previous campaign" stretch goal.

2) Early Bird sketches are all claimed. They're for the first 15 backers who pledge $50 or more...and we already have 15 backers at the $60 tier alone. Wow.

(That's the signed/sketched paperback tier, with a limit of 20 backers, so there's only 5 left. If you're thinking about getting one, don't wait too long.)

3) We have backer polls this year! Well, so far, just one poll: "Who's your favorite new character that got their debut in Volume 7?"

...It feels like that list of new characters is too short. Did I miss anyone? If you spot anybody I skipped in the Volume 7 strips on the website, comment and let me know.

4) When we get to the end...this campaign has Overtime Mode enabled. That's a BackerKit feature where, if people are still pledging right up to the last minute, the deadline can get extended -- it won't officially close until 10 minutes have passed without a new pledge.

Sounds like fun! I'm looking forward to it.
